An excellent opportunity exists in our busy Accounting Practice for an Administration & Accounts Person to join our team.

The full time position involves a range of duties including but not limited to:

  • Reception, filing, answering phone calls, collations and other administration tasks

  • Data entry into Xero and other accounting packages

  • Assist accountants on other day to day tasks

The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, knowledge of Word and Excel, strong communication and organizational skills, and have a team-first approach. Knowledge of Xero or other accounting packages is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

This position would ideally suit someone with some experience in an office environment, but is not essential.

We offer a friendly environment in the Batavia Marina precinct.

Intermediate – Senior Accountant

We are a professional accounting practice situated in the Batavia Coast Marina in Geraldton, WA.

We are a progressive firm servicing Jurien Bay to Carnarvon. We are one of Geraldton’s largest accounting firms and require an Intermediate / Senior Accountant to join in the growth and development of our practice.

The opportunity will see you working in a progressive environment with the practice predominately using ‘cloud’ based software and apps.

Your role will include but is not limited to:

  • Reviewing clients financial data on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Preparation of financial statements

  • Preparation of income tax returns

  • Tax planning

  • Preparation of Business and Instalment Activity Statements

  • Assisting businesses with taxation compliance including GST, FBT, Div 7A loans, etc.

  • Provide support to junior staff

You will have the opportunity to further your professional development through inhouse and external training.

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Additional hours may be required during peak period but will be rewarded with extra earnings or leave entitlement.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy

  • Full membership or studying towards CA / CPA

  • Experience with Xero and other cloud based accounting software will be highly regarded but not essential
